Hello,
About 6 hours ago, after studing "Tips on ways to improve your listings" I changed the photos on one of my listings. Previously I had just one photo measuring 510 on longest side, this I replaced with 8 photos that were 1270 on longest side. I just checked my ranking for this item, it has improved from 131 to 97.
By no means definite but Best Match seems to take quantity and size of photos into account. Will be changing all my photos in the next few days.
Best Wishes

So, yes I would expect my BIN listings not to be viewable by a member searching for auctions.
eBay not showing all listings that fall within the search parameters has been happening for as long as I can remember.
Many times I would conduct a keyword search with no refinements at all, with a default search order of ending soonest. Technically, that should mean all listings that have those keywords are shown in the results, but more often than not, if I refine the results, listings that weren't in the first round of results show up in the second round.
For example, the first 25 ending soonest would be a mix of auctions and BINs, if I switch to auctions only, new auctions with less time remaining will appear ahead of auctions that were shown in the initial results.

I just did a search on one of my selling ID's listings.
i have never done a search on it with this ID.
It ranks about 22 out of 22 using P+P lowest. Presumably because it is the only 1st listed on this site.
Came up 3 using 'best' match. Maybe Cassini knows I'm me, but given my IP address changes every time I log in, doubtful.
Maybe it's because I would never do a fair dinkum search, if I was looking to buy, using 'best' match. And so Cassini tries to throw me curve balls.
All I can really say is that anybody who relies on a computer algorithm for either sales or purchases needs to look to the basics.
