We have had a small paypal claim opened up against us via paypal from a zero feedback casual buyer claiming non receipt. No big deal as it's like $8 or something but we wouldn't wish to sell to said buyer again. However attempts at blocking the User ID ebay creates for these buyers come back with a 'not possible' type message on screen. Perfectly aware we can block selling to zero feedback casual buyers but we generally do quite well out of it and I see no need to block every casual buyer for the sake of one small issue. Is anybody aware of a process to stop this buyer attempting to purchase again? We get very few non delivery claims and as the buyer has also claimed that they sent us a message advising of non receipt ( which they never did) they seem a little suspicious. Also can said casual buyer leave feedback as it will no doubt be a negative due to new buyer unfamiliar with system etc and ruin our almost perfect defect rating ๐

By casual buyer, do you mean someone who is using eBay as a guest? (i.e. they don't have an eBay account, and their user name looks like an almost randomly generated string of letters and numbers, possibly in part based on their real name?)
If so, I don't know about blocking the memer, since they technically don't have an account, and I presume that's why they come up as not possible to block, but if you use the global block to prevent members who have not been phone verified, it will stop all guest members from buying (or so I presume, because you need an account to be phone verified, and the only things that override the phone verification block - linked PayPal account or credit/debit card on file - also require the creation of an account).
If they are a guest, while you can leave them feedback, they can not leave feedback for you.

Hi,
You should be able to place this seller & any other seller individually on your blocked buyer list. Go to site menu, selling activities, block bidder/buyer list...Cheers Louise

I understand what you mean that you can't block bidders prior to them bidding as a one off, however, now that they have bid on an item of yours there should be no problem adding them to your list. Other than that as you said in your op you will have to do a blanket block or block after the event.
