Blocks arent working. GGRR.

After getting about 12 non payers in the last 3 months i decided to put blocks on buyers with zero feedback purchasing/bidding on my items. So why is it that a buyer with zero feedback is able to bid on an item of mine? Why have the blocks if they dont work.

I don't think you can block buyers with zero feedback

You  can only block 0 bidders who are not phone verified. That will most likely filter out those who created ID to make mischief.

We all had to start somewhere; I wish sellers would be kind to newbies instead of assuming they will not pay.  I know number of people, all retired professionals with very nice incomes, who tried to shop on eBay and the 1st experience was so bad that they will be never back.  And we are all losers.

Mine are filed automatically by eBay  so I don't pay much attention to them. I wouldn't say the majority are 0 feedback though.

I just have blocks in place for people who have strikes or policy violations. Give me a bunch of zero feedback bidders anyday... ๐Ÿ˜›

If the 0 feedback buyers are phone verified or have put their CC on file to verify them self then they can still bid/buy.

I sympathise. It can be tough when you get so many in a short term period.

It makes not much difference to a number of much larger sellers with buy it nows - but if you sell you unique one-offs and use auctions it can mean an unacceptable amount of stock is tied up waiting for UPD to close, and then you get hit with auction listing costs to rub salt into the wound.

Yeah, that's when it hurts, when you don't get back listing fees for high-priced items. It's understandable why a seller would want to prevent a serial non-payer from potentially losing a number of dollars in listing fees.
