Bring Back Negative Feedback For Non-Payers

I'm not asking for any help just having a RANT.  I can't believe the number of times I have viewed feedback in the past for people who have bid on items just to see that sellers are having to resort to giving Positive Feedback (thus increasing the buyers score) just so they can get out there that a buyer doesn't pay or contact or apologise . Many of my friends that sell are also now saying they are noticing an increase in this.

I changed all of my sales to buy it now a while ago to combat this problem. I wonder if these non-payers ever have any action taken against them by eBay, if not they will just go on doing this and frustrating sellers.

Yes the UPI is still issued if you cancel as unpaid after 96 hours of no payment.

There are no more unpaid cases.

Feedback?... why would you want to leave positive feedback for a non payer?

Personally, I find the whole feedback system way too subject to interpretation by both sellers and buyers. Its best to set your parameters in selling so serial non payers cant buy from you and if you do get a buyer who non pays or requests refunds/returns outside your business settings, report immediately and block. The only time I refer to feedback is if I am buying from a seller with feedback under 95% and I look at their most recent negatives, usually their score has been depleted by one or two in a month, and over the past couple of years there's been that many distruptions to peoples business' and lives that unless its constantly more than 10% negs then Ill shop elsewhere. Buyers can be a bit "trip advisor" when it comes to buying on line, "I thought the red dress was a different red" ? "  The shade of gold fashion earrings is too/not enough gold in colour" ? etc - everyone has their own perspective and opinion   I also find that contacting the buyer at day 2 after purchase will give you an indicator if they are going to ghost the sale or genuinely require 4 or more days to pay. Its a bit of pot luck selling and buying on eBay and there are buyers who stuff you around but most, are great and genuine. BTW the occasional Ranting is good for the soul 🙂
