Bring back negative feedback option for non paying buyers!!!

Ebay you need to reinstate the negative feedback option for non paying buyers.  I have had numerous items bid on and not paid for because buyers know they can get away with this as their is no repercussion that affects their feedback score.  In fact several members had positive feedback but negative comments associated.

And although ebay may offer a credit for unpaid items, it cannot refund the time lost/wasted on these buyers.  Often a second chance offer is not accepted because the second chance buyer has purchased elsewhere in the time it has taken to try and get payment from the originaly buyer.

Bring negative feedback back for NPB Ebay!

I too much prefer the strike/block system. I have my blocks set for 2 strikes in 12 months. Usually if they've done it once, they'll do it again, so it's not long until they can't bid/buy from a lot of sellers.

I rarely have BIN's, so I always check the feedback of bidders. I've only cancelled one due to having nearly 50 feedback and only 2 were glowing. The rest were from naughty sellers leaving false positives.

Keh???? if you prefer the strike and block system.... why do you ALWAYS check bidders feedback,

Why do you not trust ebays vetting system?

Do you really believe that all those negative positive feedback leavers  (ie 50odd) did not process a NPB dispute

to at least get their FVF back as well as leaving the "mark"?....

If just a handful did....how could the prospective have bid on your item in the first place when you have your

blocks in place that allowed them to bid and the after you looked at their feedback allowed you to cancel their bid

and block them???

If ebay issued generic NPB feedback when a NPB issue was raised by a seller and upheld by ebay....then the

lookers could look the blockers could block.

Mores strikes would be issued as those sellers now that leave negative positives would be more likely to follow

the NPB system to issue the generic "$$$ non paying ebayer" in that they could see "the mark" and feel a little

less disillusioned re ebay and their exclusion techniques.

The feedabck system would be more transparent and at least have some chance in convincing those

disenchanted sellers to have faith that the system actually worked

No I don't agree with leaving negative feedback for non payers although I would like some visible indication. The current system blocks do work if sellers take the time to go through the non payment dispute process. I only have to go into my buyers requirements log to see all the buyers trying to purchase with too many strikes against them.

While you are in your buyer requirements log... look for the pattern by where an id tries a couple of times to "buy' one of your items and fails but 'fortuitously" often only minutes later but usually within 24 hours a "newbie" purchases that same item

there may not be an option for negative feed back but a lot of us read the feedbacks. you can always, in a nice way, leave neg uner a pos. Example:  Awesome buyer..just doesn't pay for items or answer email.

I, for one, wouldn't recommend that. If the buyer has any idea of the system and they complain to eBay about the false negative (which is what it is), then eBay could well remove the comment, but leave the green dot, AND hit the seller with a policy violation.

Besides, if they don't pay and you close a NPB against them, neitehr party can leave feedback.

Just set your blocks and let the system filter the numpties for you. The ones who aren't numpties and know how to circumvent blocks doubtless already know how to get adverse comments removed.

Yes I leave most buyers feedback, including non-payers..

IMO and experience, eBay doesn't usually remove buyer positive feedback unless comments are sufficiently negative to warrant removal - and who can claim to know what exactly what that means - I would speculate that feedback removal is a hit and miss matter, depending on which rep you happen to strike, and the subjective nature of feedback.

.

I have yet to see a poster come to the board complaining that they have received a policy violation for having feedback they left for a buyer or seller removed.

Re: Bring back negative feedback option for non paying buyers!!!

Negative feedback for a buyer is pointless, the only time a seller will check a buyers feedback is after they have purchased, and hey, guess what - too late then.

I do, however, think 'unpaid strikes' should be treated in the same manner as feedback and appear clearly on the FB page of a buyer, just like a negative appears for a seller, but as buyers keep eBay alive, that is unlikely to happen any time soon.

Just remember

Two unpaid strikes will stop a buyer from purchasing from all smart sellers.
