Ebay you need to reinstate the negative feedback option for non paying buyers. I have had numerous items bid on and not paid for because buyers know they can get away with this as their is no repercussion that affects their feedback score. In fact several members had positive feedback but negative comments associated.
And although ebay may offer a credit for unpaid items, it cannot refund the time lost/wasted on these buyers. Often a second chance offer is not accepted because the second chance buyer has purchased elsewhere in the time it has taken to try and get payment from the originaly buyer.
Bring negative feedback back for NPB Ebay!

yas jinxed me!
Had a NPB - I opened the case, they marked it is paid - but they didnt pay, so not sure what that was about? and I was still able to close it 4 days later
but what a shifty buyer, eh?
marking it as paid herself - reckon she thought that was enough to avoid action.

Yes I leave most buyers feedback, including non-payers..
IMO and experience, eBay doesn't usually remove buyer positive feedback unless comments are sufficiently negative to warrant removal - and who can claim to know what exactly what that means - I would speculate that feedback removal is a hit and miss matter, depending on which rep you happen to strike, and the subjective nature of feedback.
.
I have yet to see a poster come to the board complaining that they have received a policy violation for having feedback they left for a buyer or seller removed.

Dave, the policy says will remove negative feedback comments that directly contradict the positive rating

The one I cancelled the bid on was BEFORE I knew about blocks etc. Also, you would be surprised how many new sellers don't know about opening a case. I know I didn't when I first started. Got burnt big time too (but ended up winning in court 12 months later, much to the buyers horror - they took me to court). Most of the time now I check to see what feedback they have left for others because quite often their 'all feedback' looks glowing, but when you go to their 'feedback left for others', it can tell an entirely different story. As you would know, a lot of sellers have feedback set to appear as soon as the buyer pays, so while they have left the buyer a glowing feedback because they paid, the feedback they get in return is quite often a different story.
And for the record, it's 'que'.

If I ever got positive feedback that said I hadn't paid i would consider that a negative comment. And I suspect a group of 12 typical members of society would agree.
