Hi, I am a relatively new seller here but have another id too. A buyer has left me a neg saying the brand name item of baby clothing i sold was a replica.
I emailed her to ask her why she said that and offered to send her a photo of the baby suit with tags, prices etc attached (which says store name and original RRP) plus the dept store receipt as proof but she did not answer. That was about 3 weeks ago.
I don't expect she will withdraw the neg as she has not responded but I am looking for a witty response to her feedback if anyone can help me please.
Basically she wrote, it was not *** brand but was replica. She even misspelled the brand name herself in her reply!! Her feedback is 18.
It is annoying as I only sell genuine items from reputable stores and she got her item for 50% off as well! Grrr!

If you want the FB removed then call ebay.
Tell them you have the proof the item is what is stated and it is not a fake.
Tell them you are happy to fax the proof and you want the FB removed.

Hi sparklz, thanks for your reply.
I rang ebay and they said they can not remove the neutral even if I have proof that the item is legit because it is the buyer's 'perception' of the item, and how can ebay know that i sent the item that is in the photo and that i have receipts for??? What the!?
The ebay customer 'support' agent said she would send the buyer a message to contact me. Yeh right, like that will happen!

The best way to approach this would be to apply for feedback removal on the grounds of defamation.
More information, as well as links to the form etc, is here: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/defamation.html

Unfortunately there are some "buyers" out there who are being allowed to become a protected species by eBay. Customer support seems to be deteriorating just a little bit. Problems such as you have identified should very definitely be addressed quickly and professionally by eBay personnel. This does not appear to be happening when we scroll through the threads. Keep pushing your issue.

What eBay mean here is; How do they really know that the item you supposedly have a photo of is actually the item you sent. Quite right I would say on their behalf.

Surely in that case bsal6160, if I sent the buyer a different item from what was pictured, the buyer would file INAD not leave a neutral?
So how would every transaction made by every seller on ebay go then if this is what ebay is saying? How could sellers show what they are sending in each satchel to each and every buyer? Ridiculous!

Benny, just saying as far as eBay knows its just a photo of a random item and you could have taken the photo of an original item from anywhere then claimed it was the item you sent. Now if that was all the proof you needed then there would be a lot more shonky sellers out selling god knows what to an unsuspecting buyer then simply taking a photo of the original item and claim it as the item sent.
AS for the neutral not neg. Maybe they were just happy to get something that looked like the original (in their eyes). I am not saying the item you sent wasnt.

I would not respond to it, doing so just draws attention to it and as it has not effected your feedback percentage the majority of prospective purchasers will not even notice it.
Most buyers a mint but you get the odd very odd one, best to just ignore them and move on.
I would put them on your Blocked Bidder List though just in case they decide to buy from you again.
