Buyer claims fake but not! Leaves neg and no contact after

Hi, I am a relatively new seller here but have another id too. A buyer has left me a neg saying the brand name item of baby clothing i sold was a replica.

I emailed her to ask her why she said that and offered to send her a photo of the baby suit with tags, prices etc attached (which says store name and original RRP) plus the dept store receipt as proof but she did not answer. That was about 3 weeks ago.

I don't expect she will withdraw the neg as she has not responded but I am looking for a witty response to her feedback if anyone can help me please.

Basically she wrote, it was not *** brand but was replica. She even misspelled the brand name herself in her reply!! Her feedback is 18.

It is annoying as I only sell genuine items from reputable stores and she got her item for 50% off as well! Grrr!

I see what you are saying bsal6160, but it is so frustrating as the buyer will not contact me and I don't expect that ebay's email to them will prompt them to do anything either... I already sent the buyer a very polite email and offered to send her photos of the receipt etc and she could match the barcode with that on the receipt.

As I say, I have the receipt and another item exactly the same still here that has not been sold yet, so I can show that it is genuine! 😞

What is also annoying is that the buyer can not even spell the brand name correctly in her feedback so what does she know about genuine brand name items!

All of that is exactly why it constitutes as defamatory feedback, and why I posted the link so that you can apply to have it removed on those grounds.

It is not unusual to be told one thing by an eBay rep, only for another to say the complete opposite and take the right action, so don't think it would be a waste of time to continue to pursue the removal, particularly through the channels I provided.

Yes, digital, I think I might ring ebay again and try to get someone else. The woman I spoke to today sent me an email this afternoon, but it doesn't sound like it will be found in my favour as it finishes with

"I know that this has been a very difficult situation for you but the good part is, one person's opinion doesn't define the way the entire community looks at you as an eBayer and as a person."

Hmmm..... I won't give up!

I think I will cancel the listing on the last item I have that is exactly the same as the one sold, so I have that if I need, to prove authenticity. ;\

Why would you prefer to leave a witty reply rather than try and sort out the mess?

Surely you should have come here asking for help with this situation rather than asking for witticisms.

digitalghost has provided a link to help you but you say you are going to ring ebay again thus ignoring very good and very sound advice.

Why not follow that link and fill in the form provided in that link?

Or do you really only want a witty reply?

If you are going to keep selling on ebay you have to adopt a more businesslike attitude.

Time is money and devoting time to get a neut feedback that nobody will notice if you don't draw attention to it removed is a poor of time.

In the time it will take you to keep posting about it and contacting ebay you could probably have done 20 listings that would see your neut of the bottom of the page very soon.

If you react this strongly to a neut you are going to be a basket day if you get  neg and believe me if you get the wrong psycho buyer they will neg any seller with more than one vowel in their name if that is what floats their boat.
