Buyer didn’t pay

I sold some items and buyer claimed she couldn’t pay as she was in lockdown & asked me to wait for payment which I did. Canberra is now out of lockdown and she won’t pay or communicate. as it’s over 30 days how do I cancel the order?

You only have 30 days,  you should have insisted on payment, now there arent any options really available.

You've been played.

Not sure why a buyer couldn't pay just because of lockdown. Your items were for postage, so there's no reason they couldn't have been sent. People are allowed to pick up their mail from their letterbox!

Either make your items Buy It Now, with immediate payment activated, or cancel after 4 days and get your fees back.

No point chasing a buyer who had clearly changed their minds.

Put them on your blocked list as well.

Her excuses were not justified, as she could have paid online, and items are still delivered, even if with delays. She didn't have to go out. I don't know if there is a particular problem where she is, like a parcel contractor who keeps carding items, and she was worried, but now lockdown is over anyway, and her lack of communication is self-explanatory.

Lockdown was not a real lockdown. People were still able to go out for essential reasons, post offices were still open. Every time I was in my local post office, there was a line. Like people getting passport photos - obviously essential in a lockdown.
