Has this happened to anyone else?
A buyer didn't pay for an item and made no response, so after 10 days I opened an unpaid item dispute.
The buyer then issued a PayPal eCheque and eBay recorded the payment as received, even though it would take several days for the funds to clear.
I've been informed by PayPal today that this eCheque has failed and they have cancelled the transaction. There is however no record in PayPal of the dispute ever even occurring, as if they've just erased it.
But even worse is that Ebay still consider the 'payment' to have been made, and I cannot reopen an unpaid item dispute. When I try to do so, I simply get told that the case is closed and I can't proceed any further in contacting anyeone at Ebay about it.
What the heck do I do next? Is anyone else tired of these time-wasting, inept loopholes for scammers?!?!

I don't have a landline, and I'm not driving over to somebody else's house to use theirs for this purpose, nor am I going to waste the taxpayers $$ by using my work phone next week ... come on phorum!

How would you be wasting taxpayers' money by dialling FREE number in your lunch time?
What exactly do you expect to hear from the forum? There are ways to deal with your problem but all seem to be just too difficult for you ?:|

Don't be such a silly billy. Any time I spent at work while on the phone would be wasting taxpayers' money. The only valid way of 'dealing' with this problem, according to the forum, seems to be calling them, as they do not respond to emails.
However, I've just found out about live chat, and I've just completed the process that way. Seems they will credit the final value to me now.
Thanks, sorry for offending you or anyone else, but I just REALLY don't like stuffing around on ridiculous things like this due to someone else's negligence and/or dishonesty.
Thanks everyone! 🙂

I did say in your lunchtime, which is the time you do not get paid, so it would not be wasting taxpayer's money.
Never mind, I am glad that live chat has sorted it out. 🙂

We sometimes advise a poster to use Live Help but it can be a waste of time.
Rejecting advice and calling a member a seemingly harmless name makes you appear to be ungrateful. In case you don't know or you've forgotten the buyer can still leave negative feedback for you.
