They have not completed checkout.
I sent a message asking them and reminding them so.
Should i even bother with a message, or just wait till paypal erminds them etc, or send an invoice.
Thanks.

I really WISH buyers would wait!!! I've had so many buyers bid on multiple items, then pay as they win each one. Now, I'll send them a message the instant they win the first one and tell them to hold off until they have finished so they can save on postage costs. Mostly it's lower feedback buyers who think they are doing the right thing. They WANT to do the right thing so they can be seen as being a good buyer.
Most have replied saying they didn't think they could do that and thank me for letting them know. I then tell them in future if they want to buy more than one thing from a seller, after they've bought the first thing to send the seller a message and let them know they are still buying. Sometimes I'll get a higher feedbacker paying straight away, which never used to be a problem as they were happy to hold off posting the already paid for items. Can't happen any more with the new postage defect system.
If I've had quite a few sales and one buyer has bought quite a few things and I can see they are still buying, I tell them I'm sending an invoice, but not to pay it yet. I explain that it's just to group all their purchases together so someone else's doesn't get missed in the middle of theirs. I wouldn't do it after the first sale though!

eBay sends an automated reminder after 48 hours.

There's no point sending repeted messages, they may be away.
I have never sent a reminder, the moment they log in to there account they know that they haven't paid, so sending messages is plain pointless and it looks desperate. IMO.

I agree it probably does look desperate.
I just thought it was unusual.
Ok. Thanks for the tips.

I say very clearly in my listings that postage discounts are only given on items paid for on a single invoice and that if they are paid separately then they will be sent separately.
I never send a reminder as such as ebay send one ofter 48 hours anyway. If they haven't paid by the end of day 3 I send the invoice with a message asking them for details of their payment as I have been unable to trace it, a kick up the posterior in polite lingo lol.
If still nothing after the end of day 4 I open the dispute.

I used to send reminders, but n ot an ymore. Most of my items are BIN and 95% pay straight away via paypal. If someone doesn't pay or complete checkout, I send invoic e after a couple of days as a reminder and in case they are actually waiting for an invoice,
keep in mind if someone pays via paypal, even if it is for a combined purchase, the clock starts ticking on late shipment defects, so don't hold back to combine
