Buyer paid cash on pickup and didn't receive a code

As the buyer has not received a code I can't confirm pickup and remove the item from orders requiring posting. It has been ticked as paid on ebay. How can I get around this.

Mark as picked up

This is the only option I have available to mark as picked up. App is the same either scan or contact buyer. Buyer would have been emailed the code so without it I don't see any other options. Maybe ebay can resend or provide a new one to the buyer. Maybe someone who has purchased a pickup item recently may shed some light on options on their end.

To the best of my knowledge, the QR code and the 6-digit code are sent to the buyer only if they have paid via one of the payment methods specified under the MBG. If the buyer pays by cash, or internet bank transfer, or money order, or (unlikely nowadays but still possible) personal cheque, eBay don't provide the code.

It makes sense (although it's inconvenient and definitely confusing), as the code is for protection against MBG claims. If a buyer has paid by a payment method not covered by the MBG, the seller doesn't need that code as far as eBay is concerned.
