Buyer refusing to accept delivery

Hi Everyone,

I have a customer who is refusing to accept delivery of an item i sold them because they have now found it cheaper elsewhere on the internet.

The courier has atempted delivery and is wanting an alternative date to redeliver

The seller is now asking me to reduce the price of the item to what she has found it for elsewhere or she wont accept delivery

She did ask for a discount before purchasing but i refused.
if i dont give an alternative date the item will be shipped back to supplier and return shipping will be very expensive.

Is there a way around this, what can i do about this buyer not accepting delivery.

Many Thanks

It technically is the same thing as in both instances it is being returned to sender. With my buyer he had the audacity to open a PayPal dispute without communication. I shipped item out twice (2nd time via express). In the end shipping alone was more than the sale price. Only for him to finally message me saying they had cancelled an Aust Post locker.

What a load of rubbish.

Whilst I don't do it, it is legal, so can't be a scam.

Re: Buyer refusing to accept delivery

Claiming travel allowance to go to a wedding is legal apparently, but it is still a scam.

Re: Buyer refusing to accept delivery

are you looking for the Community Spirit boards perchance?

go back to the main Discussion Board menu and the Community Spirit board is a little bit further down the page to the Trading Boards.

plenty of discussion there about travel expenses.

Re: Buyer refusing to accept delivery

Most courier companies have a section in their paperwork asking what they are to do with any item that cannot be delivered.

If the item was dropshipped from overseas it depends on the instructions that have been given to TNT but they may have to return it overseas, not to the OP.

Most overseas sellers give instructions to dispose of the items rather than return them if they are cheap.
