Buyer request to cancel bid

I am new to selling on E Bay.  The first item I have fo sale has had 1 bid with 3 days to go and 10 watching.  The bidder has emailed and asked me to cancel her bid.  I contacted eBay for direction and was advised once you bid you  are agreeing to buy and I can ignore the request and file an unpaid item case if not paid.I aslo asked how I cancel a buyers bid on my item. If you are a regualr seller can you give me your advice - cancel bid or keep the bid active.  Thanks

Buyer request to cancel bid

IMO it is far better to delete the bid than have to muck around with UPI disputes if the bidder happens to win your item. It's up to you, but why risk it when you can avoid the possibility now with a couple of keystrokes? 🙂

Buyer request to cancel bid

If you choose to cancel the bid, which I think is best as previously said, get the bidder to cancel it. Then it shows on their record.

Just tell them they need to do it by clicking on number of bids and at the bottom is a link to retract bid. 😉

Buyer request to cancel bid

I should mention for anyone else reading this thread.

More than 12 hours left in auction - bidder can retract.

Less than 12 hours left in auction - seller needs to retract unless bidder retracts within 60 mins of placing the bid.
