A buyer lodged a request to return based on Item Not As Described stating the size tags said W34/l32. The waistband had the size L34/34. I included all the the length measurements.
today I received back a pair of jeans but not the ones I sent. I sold Boss Orange jeans in new condition and received back Boss Red Jeans Size 34/32 which are well worn and have fade wash streaks down the legs from being washed.
last week I contacted eBay because he hadn't returned the jeans within a week. The operator escalated the dispute and the buyer sent back a completely different pair of jeans. Now either he has me mixed up with another seller or is trying to pull a shifty.
what do I do here?

Reading the first post made me so angry they had seemed to have stuffed you around! But then it got better and better, what a nice outcome in the end. There is hope.

i got a uesd scarf back insead of a bra, when i received the parcel i did not open it, it did not feel like a bra so i went to the police station,i got a police report and send it to pay pal.i was told by pay pal since i received the parcel there have to close the case and than i have to fail a dispute. this buyer left 18 negative feedback in the last 12 months for sellers , always the same damaged item or item not received. doing something like this is criminal and people should be charged with fraud.this buyer is dishonest and on top leaves negative feedback.if ebay or pay pal does not do anything about this i hope the police does.i am sure if i steal from the supermarket i will get charged.

When I send or receive a high value item, I video the boxing/unboxing process so I can't be blamed for an error, con or switch.
It has helped a couple of times.
On a different note...
I also had a buyer message me that I sent them the wrong thing--two items the same instead of two different ones. I could see their order, and asked what they had received, so I could fix it. They gave me details, and it turned out that the items they had received were not ones I sell (or have ever stocked). They went from very cross to quite apologetic (even sheepish!) when they realised it was their own error--thay had made two separate orders for similar items a couple of weeks apart, mixed them up and blamed me.

I've been trying to think of a method to share dodgy buyer IDs--thanks for this one!

I reported buyer for online theft to ACorn, but they determined it to b3 a civil matter. Buyer gets away with it. eBay and PayPal won’t do anything

I would hope your situation is more recent than this thread. Which is way over YWO years old.
