Buyer says item did not arrived but tracking number says it did

Hi community,

 

I send an item to a buyer via express to make sure she has got it on the weekend. After posting it, Paypal told me not to send it because the payment did not come through. Now she tells me that it has not arrived yet, even though the tracking number tells a different story. Anyone experienced this before? What can I do?

If the buyer still refuses to pay and insists that they never received the item, despite tracking evidence to the contrary, I suggest you send them a message telling them that (a) you have documentary tracking evidence from AP stating that the item was delivered, and (b) unless they pay for said item with 7 days, you will have no option but to report the matter to the police, in which case they could be prosecuted for obtaining goods by deception.

In reality, there's not really a whole lot you can do, but they may not know that and may be bluffed into paying up. I presume it's the wide-leg pants you're talking about, in which case you won't be losing a whole lot of money, but it still leaves a very nasty taste in one's mouth when this sort of thing happens.

if you have Aust Post proof, then you are in the right .. ask AP for print out of proof .. or copy & paste  the delivey date & time  to a message to your buyer .. saying items have not turned up when they have  is just cyber shop lifting

If you sign up with AP they will email you tracking information at every event, such as "on-board with driver" and "delivered", which makes excellent documentary evidence for cases like the above.

Did you initially receive an email from PayPal instructing you to send the item, or did you do so beforehand?

 

If PayPal instructed you to send and you can show that you did so before they then told you not to, PayPal should cover you in this instance, so give them a call.
