Buyer says item did not arrived but tracking number says it did

Hi community,

I send an item to a buyer via express to make sure she has got it on the weekend. After posting it, Paypal told me not to send it because the payment did not come through. Now she tells me that it has not arrived yet, even though the tracking number tells a different story. Anyone experienced this before? What can I do?

Thanks for your detailed answer. I gave the case to Ebay and I am still waiting for an answer. I feel betrayed. I even did her a favour with sending it express. In the end, it is just money and if it is was fraud she'll pay for it one day.

I never post until an echeque clears. I've heard too many stories of them not clearing. Sometimes they clear in a few days, a couple have taken nearly 2 weeks. When someone pays me with an echeque, I always send a message thanking them for their payment and I will post their item as soon as I see the cheque has cleared. They all seem happy with that.
