I sold a new camera.
I only used it once to take like 3 pictures to test it.
It works fine.
The Photo I used to advertise the item show's it working.
The buyer messaged me saying that it was missing the battery charger. So I said OK then I will look for it incase I misplaced it. I am like 80% sure it was in the box ( new item only just used as mentioned.) Anyway, I still looked everywhere and I dont have it at home.
The buyer has opened a paypal case claiming the item was not as described.
The same morning as the buyer claiming the box was missing the charger they have messaged me a second time to say that they used it for a few pics then switched it off . The next day he turned it on and it started to smell burnt out after 30 secs and it then went off.
They can't charge it now because they claim it is missing.
What do I do?
The Ebay ad states that I do not accept returns.
I want to do the right thing buy the seller incase they are telling the truth but I am not convinced they are being honest.
I sold the item with FREE postage which cost me $12 so I don't want to be out of pocket either.
Thanks in advance.

The most likely outcome is that the buyer will be instructed by PayPal to return the item (at their expense), and granted a refund of their original payment, since it's next to impossible for either of you to actually prove one way or another that the package contained all the peripherals, and that the camera is or isn't in good working order (so, the benefit of the doubt tends to go to the buyer).
A no return policy relates to change of mind returns as a general rule, and is ineffective in fighting a not as described claim.
If/when you receive the goods back, inspect them very carefully - make sure that everything you sent was returned, and in the same condition (i.e. that nothing was tampered with or removed). If what you receive back does not match what was sent, let PayPal know straight away. The buyer may or may not receive a refund automatically, but if they do and they have not returned the item as it was sent, you will need to call PayPal and let them know the circumstances as they can issue a discretionary payment back to your account if they refunded the buyer in error.

They can still leave negative feedback if you don't accept returns, if you still have the reciept for the camera take it back to where you bought it from after it gets returned to you and get a new one or a refund of the purchase.

If they say they didn't get the charger then how did they charge it to take some pics.
If they have used an incorrect charger then doing this can cause permanent damage to a camera or anything that you recharge for that matter.
