Hi, I have very limited experience at selling on Ebay, but decided to list my iPhone for sale. The first attempt ended when a buyer clicked on the buy now option, but has not paid for the phone or responded to my communications. I have applied to cancel the sale and put that through the resolution centre on Ebay. BUT, then I listed the phone again, and the second time around the highest bidder has sent me an email after the auction ended to say that his little brother thought he was only looking and accidentally bid on the item. I have to wait four days to go through the resolution process, but I want this guy to pay, because I have now been trying to sell the phone for 2 weeks, and haven't managed to complete the sale. Anybody know what my chances are of forcing him to pay?

You can't make anyone pay.

Make your item an Auction listing , it might not be as attractive to 'impulse' buyers who no intention of paying .
Unfortunately with the kind of item you are trying to sell you might find that this is not uncommon.

It's really annoying when this happens but unfortunately there is nothing you can do except close the transaction as a non paying bidder. If someone obviously isn't going to pay then just move on.
