Buyer wants a refund

Item no 122724290844
Listed as item as grey. Pictures (IMO) are clearly grey. Jacket has grey buttons. Buyer is claiming jacket is black which it is not. If it was black it would have black buttons on the front and cuffs which are grey.

So where do I stand on this?

Buyer wants a refund

As I suspected, there is absolutely no consideration for sellers regarding disputes. I lodged an appeal based on the fact that the buyer changed his reason from SNAD as a "black" jacket to the jacket is dark grey......in eBays eyes if he said the jacket is pink, then changed to its dark grey (which is what I stated in my response to the dispute) the buyer would still win.

"After reviewing this case, we decided to keep the original outcome. We weren't able to grant your appeal because we determined the original decision was correct."

how how can ebay determine the original decision was correct when the buyer changed from describing the jacket as black to dark grey??

obviously they didn't actually read my reason for appeal or they would not have rejected the appeal!

On another note, during the course of the dispute, I received an email advising eBay have told the buyer to return the jacket. The last line stated "this will not affect your seller performance" ......guess what.....I got slapped with a defect!

EBay may have told them to return the jacket, but I bet they don't. They have their refund, they have no incentive now to return it. If it doesn't arrive back, I would be reporting them to ACORN and telling them you have reported them for having goods they haven't paid for. Sometimes that is enough to scare them. I would also enforce that they could well end up with a criminal record because of it.

Buyer wants a refund

No Kopes, that was why I was appealing, didn't think it fair I had to refund original purchase for what was obviously a change of mind given the buyer's statement that he stated the jacket is dark grey and not black as originally claiming.  It's not a big amount, $12 but it's the principle of it. ๐Ÿ˜”

Buyer wants a refund

I had a similar problem where I listed a lampshade as 'brick red'. The buyer left me negative feedback stating the shade was orange.

I spoke to eBay CS and they (as per usual) would not budge regarding removing the feedback (the old buyer is always right blah blah).

Whilst I was speaking to CS I asked if I would be better off not referring to any colours anywhere in the listing. They skirted around this question & I didn't get an answer.

It is getting to the point that the only way to avoid these kind of returns wouldd be to photograph your item witth tthe PMS (Pantone Matching System) chart with the relevant coded swatch against your item.

These are the colour code charts printers/designers use.

I'm thinking the same, re not even stating colour, but even then this idiot buyer changed his mind from black to dark grey, where I listed as grey,

Anyway, I had some advice from another poster and have purchased the colour chart, just need tho work out how to use it!

Buyer wants a refund

When you think a dispute has closed.......

the bloody saga continues.....

I just checked my Paypal account.....-$99.95 negative balance

Now when the buyer escalated this claim Paypal put a hold on funds which put my account -$99.95. The next day $130.00 was paid into my PayPal account for 3 transactions from other buyers, $99.95 of that went to the negative balance leaving $30 in my account and the buyer dispute amount in credit $99.95 on hold. Fair enough.

Today I've checked my PayPal account and it's showing $99.95 in negative funds and requesting I pay $99.95 to bring the account up to date. So I rang PayPal, explained buyer was refunded in full on 30/11from the funds that were put on hold on 20/11. He told me it's an eBay issue as the request was from eBay International AG and I have to contact eBay.

So I contact eBay... And guess what...they're saying its a PayPal issue. eBay said the initial payment was rejected. BS, it wasn't rejected because the funds were taken from my account and put on hold on 20/11 then tthat amount was refunded to buyer on 30/11.

If, as eBay claim the payment was rejected, surely i would have received an email stating funds were rejected.

So the buyer has been refunded in full from funds taken from account on 20/11 and now PayPal are asking me to bring my account up to date.

For Christss ake eBay, if your going to have these processes in place flippin get it right and don't double dip!
