Hi there,
I need some advice please?
I have sold 9kg of magazines that were listed as pick up only.
Buyer who won wants shipping as they are living 2 hours away.
They also prefer to be delivered between 8.30 and 5pm which I cannot ensure will happen.
The cheapest way to send is 2 x 5kg satchels the postmaster told me. Without courier (which is more expensive) I cannot ensure estimated delivery time which wil be a further expense.
This is all for $15 of magazines.
I have told them all this and that as the item was pick up I can only offer pick up at the moment.
Also ebay won't let me add on postal charges as it was a pick up only item and I want to stay within ebay rules otherwise it all becomes dodgy which I don't want.
I also don't want to cause any angst between seller and buyer and receive a negative.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you

@phorum_junkie* wrote:I don't blame the buyer for wanting them posted, you only offer Paypal as a payment method so without delivery added to the invoice the buyer would have no buyer protection if they paid then arrived to collect and found they were not as described.
How much more buyer protection does a cash payment offer over a paypal payment ?
The buyer knew the sellers terms before they bid..... The buyer made the choice to bid.
The buyer can view the magazines and then process a paypal payment.
Do not let the buyer dictate the terms and conditions of the sale.... you are asking for trouble
If the buyer does not pay then process a NPB dispute and move on....simple

I would send the buyer a link to this buyer help, page
Buyer rule number 1
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/buy/safe-trading.html
Before bidding or buying
Before you bid or buy, make sure you’re comfortable with the listing and the seller. Your bid or use of Buy It Now is a commitment to purchase the item.

the OP said they were 2 hours away so i'm thinking of the same state
i would still try for the B4 box....much cheaper

Tell the buyer that the listing was for pickup only, and that if they didn't see that condition, that's fine, you are happy to cancel the transaction.
Why do you have to waste your time packing and posting 9kg of stuff when they are supposed to come and pick it up? Then block the buyer in case they are silly enough to buy it again.
