Buyer who wanted me to stop an auction for her last week.

The buyer I had problems with last week requesting me to cancel an auction as she wanted it for her daughter's birthday (that I did not do) she won the bid but now has not got the parcel. She is in Adelaide and I am from Brisbane the Australian post parcel was handed over to the post office last Thursday so it is only 4 business days. But the tracking number says "no events currently found" fortunately I have the pink sticker against her name and the 2 other parcels I posted have been received. I now have 10 messages from her, from hysteria, asking me to send something else for her daughters birthday, refusing a refund and now wanting me to claim compensation from Australia Post FOR HER. Why did it have to be her parcel!!!!!! Can I dump all her messages onto to someone from eBay?

I'm in Brisbane and an item I purchased from Adelaide was posted as a large letter on Thursday, June 5 and was delivered to my address the following Thursday, June 12, which is exactly a week, or 5 business days, and is very much in keeping with other items I've bought from Adelaide in the past. If something from Adelaide was posted to me on a Monday, I wouldn't expect to receive it until at least Monday of the following week, and certainly not the previous Friday. I think your buyer's expectations are quite unrealistic and she is being very unfair as I wouldn't expect her parcel to arrive until the end of this week.

Re: Buyer who wanted me to stop an auction for her last week.

Unless it got sent express, I doubt it would have got from Qld to SA yet. I'm in central western NSW (in a major regional centre) and it can take 2 weeks to get something to SA and 4 weeks to get something to WA. Of course things can move faster, but on average, that's about the times it's been taking.

im in Adelaide and i send to QLD regularly (and have bought from QLD)

a week is about normal for that trip... a parcel will never arrive in 4 days from QLD to ADL (unless express)

hold tight

See this is why I don't make concessions for people like this. Potential buyers who make you work overtime are indicitive of the type of person they will be once they buy something from you. All indications were there from the get go - I would have blocked them from bidding but that is just me. Probably harsh but I deal with many sales at any one time and you simply pick up on these things intuitively.

Re: Buyer who wanted me to stop an auction for her last week.

I regularly receive satchels in Sydney from suburban Adelaide on the 4th business day, regular as clockwork.  It would have to be at least 1 more day to Queensland at a very conservative estimate.

yep as i said above, a week is the usual timeframe between ADL and QLD

All i would do is message the buyer and explain this

If she wanted faster postage, she should have chosen and paid for an express post option (if you offer it)

Re: Buyer who wanted me to stop an auction for her last week.

Last night I went on the Australia post web sight and ask to be informed about that parcel, now the tracking number is coming up as in transit. So happy! I told the buyer last night that 4 business days is too short a time to get to Adelaide and to hold tight as I spoke to people who know consumer law (THAT IS ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE). Thank you

Re: Buyer who wanted me to stop an auction for her last week.

was this the lady who played the disability card?

May i ask how that scenario turned out?

BTW, I had 9 parcels last Tuesday (so 8 days ago), all have been showing tracking as initiated.....

followed that up today.....

seems they are now showing as "lodged" at the post office today, when I have a receipt for them last week!

I am absolutely fuming atm

waiting to hear back from AP where my parcels have been

I am so cross, it looks like I took over a week to post them, and my customers should have had their packages by now!

Re: Buyer who wanted me to stop an auction for her last week.

Hi, yes it was the lady playing the disability card! She gave me great feedback and I wrote something like I hope your daughter likes the top for her birthday. So very glad it is over. The day after her parcel arrived I got a message from another buyer saying her tracking number said her parcel was delivered but she didn't have it! Naturally I nearly passed out, she was very nice and we just waited for the next day and it came. I am now only posting parcels when I have got a tracking receipt that it was lodged , pain in the bum as everyone is paying bills at the post office. I hope everything is going well for all of you.
