Yesterday, an auction of mine had sold and been won by a bidder. They then paid it overnight, then this morning I receive a message from the buyer along the lines of their child accidentally won the auction and accidentally paid for it through their account. After thinking about it, I concluded something fishy is going on but have no idea what it is or how to act. I read up on other community posts: https://community.ebay.com.au/t5/Selling/A-buyer-wants-to-cancel-the-transaction-after-the-auction-h...
Where this seems to be a common thing and I should file a dispute and get a non-payer strike on the buyers account. However I am even more unsure about this because the buyer HAS already paid. Any help would be appreciated, my next option is to contact eBay anyways.

Exactly.
All the vids & pics are not proof that was what the box contained when actually posted.

In addition to what has already been said, the buyer could also just... not pick up the parcel, so it would be returned to the OP, and it would just be a total waste of time for the OP.

2. If the OP takes lots of photos & a video then he will have lots of photos & a video & no evidence.
Surely the Videoing showing the item that its not damaged etc and showing it being packed right down to the sealing of the parcel with the address etc - do same again when it has the post label stuck to it
we do this on some items not all, thankfully we have never had to use them, so i don't know if it would be of help or not
any way it was only a suggestion

As annoying as this is, its not worth the possible flack back from a disgruntled buyer, ergh... headache. I'd refund, block and report them/ the kids access to eBay account etc. Hopefully eBay will see it for what it is and restrict their activity.

This is exactly why I don't run eBay auctions and have not for years.
People win the auction, then realize they got carried away and paid too much and will not pay, or they pay then cancel.
How many times did I hear that pathetic excuse that their child bought the item?
More times than I care to remember...
