Buyers refuse registered post

Hi all

If on my Ebay listing I give the buyer 2 postage options - 1 standard postage with no tracking or 2 registered postage with tracking but the buyer decides not to pay the extra money and goes ahead with standard postage with no tracking, if this item gets lost in the mail, do I still have to refund them under the PayPal buyer protection eventhough I have given them the option for registered postage but they decided against it.

Thank you

I keep a receipt book with Post Codes Ive sent to on that day and have Aust Post stamp that, this proves item was lodged and where to (as receipt doesnt print Post Codes)- this is if they have selected free or cheapest without tracking. Paypal accepts this however the buyer always doesnt and leaves negative feedback.

Hello all,

The items I sell are on a CD and sell  for under $12. These are posted in a padded envelope for FREE (actually $1.20) to Australia and $1.85 to Asia ,  $2.60 to Europe. I offer Registered and Express Post but in over 2 years no-one has wanted it. My Item price easily covers FREE postage and I add $1 to all overseas postage charges. I one goes missing or doesn't work I replace it at no charge to the buyer. Also I offer 30day money back but so far not one has been returned.

Works well for low priced light weight items.

Best wishes
