Im still struggling to understand why somebody would buy a 'buy it now' item and then just not pay for it with no contact whatsoever from them. Its frustrating that ebay doesnt really help out sellers when this occurs - I mean its one thing getting the final value fee refunded, but what about when its the last item in stock, meaning that I have to re-list it at a cost to me.
Also, this thing about the buyer getting an unpaid item against them. Does that really acheive anything ? Not that I can see.
Anyway, rant over, lets hope sales pick up in the Christmas lead up ๐

Like many other sellers, I do both - leave feedback and give strike.
It is within policy for me to leave feedback for a non-paying buyer as long as it is "positive".
I word my feedback so it is positive - pointing out fabulous buyer attributes such as bidding prowess & that next payment or contact might be even better.
And regarding the argument that it adds to buyers feedback score ??? So what. The very same posters on that bandwagon tend to also argue that a buyers feedback is meaningless anyway ??

I thought if a case closed issung a strike, FB was not able to be left?

BTW - I disagree with the bandwagon comment - never will you see a post where I have argued a buyers FB is meaningless. But I do admit to going by the stars, rather than the comments, so to me, positive neg, is plain ridiculous

Its not plain ridiculous to many sellers when they are debating whether to give it a few more days before opening a non-payment dispute.
Nor is it ridiculous to those sellers than spot unusual bidding or buying activity and check out the feedback.

Feedback can be left before case is closed and strike is issued.

Feedback can be left before case is closed and strike is issued.
And removed if reported and a policy violation recorded against the seller's account.
I would not want to risk my items being consigned to the very last page of searches or even having my selling privileges suspended just to make a meaningless gesture.
