I have sold an item on the 24th August. Buyer wanted COD. Send item, now it is the 10th Sept. Have not got a cheque from Australia Post in the mail yet.
Have sent email to buyer, no response. Item is where? sitting at post office?
What to do?

I notice you still have C.O.D on your listings as a payment method. Is that what you mean or maybe Cash on Pick Up?

If the buyer refuses to accept (and pay) for the COD, then it will cost you $17.85 to get the item back. If you don't pay, then Australia Post will throw the item away.
You should go through your listings and remove COD. It's definitely NOT something that you normally wnat to be offering on eBay listings.
If you meant "Cash On Pickup" then open the listing and in the Payments section click on the link that says "More Payment Options". Tick "Payment on Collection" in there, and Un-Tick COD. Then close to save, then select the new Pay On Collection payment choice.
If you have lots of listings, you may be able to use the Bulk Updater to do this stuff. Let us know if you need help and we can guide you through it.

Please!!! Stop sending items before payment.
Get the cash first.

I wonder if the buyer thought you were going to deliver it and then hand over the cash minus the cost of postage?
The buyer might have been surprised to know there was a parcel waiting at the PO that needed to be paid for and didn't collect it.
Good luck with finding your parcel but as the others have said get rid of the COD in your listings, COD on eBay means so many different things to so many different buyers and sellers.

Hi Apples,
Definitely give us a call, but keep in mind, that (depending on where it was going) it could take say 5 business days to get to the Post Office for collection (31/08) then the address may not have rushed right down to collect it, (and the 10 business days it will be held is not up yet), but if and when it is collected, your Money Order will be posted back to you, which could take another 5 or so business days.
All in all, if you take the maximum possible timeframes into account, it could take up until 21/09 or even later for you to receive your Money Order back.
