To whom it may concern,
Because the big hype, regarding toilet paper, and some people buying ridiculous amounts and than try to make money out of this on ebay , is not something to exept! Please can you delete these ads? It is not fair, these people are buying so much, so other people are not able to do their normal shopping anymore!
Thank you
Kind regards A. Willems

Whom it may concern is other members, buyers and sellers. eBay neither read nor respond to board posts.
If you venture onto the real boards, you will find that eBay are actually deleting the OOT ads for toilet paper.
As always, caveat emptor. If you don't like the price, don't buy.

Do you normally do your grocery shopping on ebay?
If not, why does it worry you that some people want to do theirs and probably need to buy toilet paper.
There are a lot of elderly people, disabled people, rural and country people who rely on ebay for a lot of their shopping so why should they be disadvantaged because you don't like ebay allowing toilet paper to be listed.
Many of us cannot just pop to the shops when there is a run on items.....online buying is important to us.
Some of the prices are unconscionable but you don't have to buy if you are not happy.

Toilet roll selling at outrageous prices as coronavirus hysteria causes shortages
As fears over coronavirus continue to mount across the world, some opportunistic Aussies have been trying to capitalise on the outbreak.
"Responding to a person selling three 50ml bottles of Dettol hand sanitiser on its platform for AU$45 (£23), an eBay spokesperson said the firm ‘does not allow sellers to list items that attempt to capitalise on disaster or tragedy’.
’ “We have updated our filters to block listings in breach of our policy and are regularly sweeping the site to remove such items.”

The ads for TP are still there this morning, even the ridiculous single rolls for $20!!

Luckily you are not forced to buy them, or is anyone else, unless they think it is worth it and then it is none of anyone elses business what the price is.

I had a quick look this morning and one pack of 24 rolls had bids of $9000 at auction. Another seller had an unopened pack BIN of $1,000,000 . Some people have still retained a sense of humour about the absurdity of toilet roll stashing.

Then ebay must be doing their job if the $100 single roll has gone.
What about the $20 single sheet.....and the used sheet (complete with skid mark)?

I did post a reply but it appears someone took offence. The fact remains that the shelves are empty in the supermarkets. I'm down to my last roll lol so Ebay need to stop allowing these listings. They should put a blanket ban on toilet paper sales, if people want to buy it online, they can order directly from the stores for home delivery which is what I'll be having to do. Idiots

Then there's this one 223935682623 that sold at auction for $6,100. Clearly the new programs are working well in detecting these fake ads. That seller has relisted. I still think it would be hilarious if these listings aren't cancelled and the seller gets charged the fees. Serve themselves right!
