I had a buyer pay for an item and since i didn't offer pickup we decided to mutally cancel the sale. Unfortunately I refunded him via paypal first rather than through ebay so when i go to cancel my item after selecting the reason, I get the pop-up telling me to refund the buyer. I've already refunded them prior (didn't know i could do it through the ebay system) so now I can't cancel the order to recoup my fees.
I've even clicked on 'refund', and received an error. I have tried to contact ebay via the support page but every time I select from the drop down lists to get to 'email ebay', it just jumps me back to the start of the support page so I am going around in circles

Ok so you need to send the buyer a cancellation request. They will have to tick that they had received a refund or they didn't pay. Once they confirm that you have refunded you will receiv your fees back from ebay automatically.
Important: when you send the request tick the option that says buyer changed mind or whatever it says otherwise you will cop a defect for cancelling.
It's probably wise just to send the buyer a message first explaining what they have to do.

That's the problem, every time i go to send a cancellation request, select 'buyer requests cancelation' it pops up with 'refund buyer' box. I've alread refunded them, so I'm stuck
