I purchased of a seller and left him a neutral on October 16. The reason was that it was actually posted 10 days after the date on the checkout in my purchase history. It was also sent with 60 cents stamps when I was charged over $2 but main reason for the neutral was the lying about when it was actually posted.
So the seller recently bought 3 comics of me. Reckons slow post - Buyer paid on 22/11 Posted 23/11.
Claimes I ripped him of with $2.40 postage. They cost $1.80 postage plus $1.25 for the tough envelope, so he got a bargain, yet he claims I ripped him off
I see it as a clear retaliation for the neutral I gave him. If I made a request to eBay to remove it, would they do that?

A salutary lesson in the advantages of having different IDs for buying and selling. Or blocking sellers you have had issues with.
Your post doesn't mention the seller lying, just that it was posted 10 days after you checked out. What was the seller's quoted handling time?

Yes dave, thank god its not on my main selling account so could have been worse
They had a 1 day handling time when I bought from him

I have blocked them now. Just deciding whether is worth chatting to ebay about it or if I should just leave it

I forgot to add Dave that when I left him the neutral on October 16, he messaged me and we had a heated few messages before I told him to stop. he sent 2 more abusive ones before I reported them to eBay and he lost his Top Rated Seller Status

Why should you just leave it ? Your seller has clearly violated a policy to buy from you 3 times to be able to leave neutral feedback for you. You need to contact ebay about it and all the feedback should be removed.
I advise you to stop listing items for 50 cents because you are losing money. Even $2.00 will hardly cover your fees so please come up with starting bids that will give you some profit.

I would be asking eBay to remove them as the timeline of your purchase and feedback and their purchases would indicate that they bought cheap items from you with the intention of giving you bad feedback in retaliation.

Absolutely, apply for the FB removal on the ground that "the buyer bought for the sole reason of leaving bad FB", which is a policy breach, although I cannot find that particular policy in this moment. ๐

Feedback left by a user who bid on or purchased an item solely to have the opportunity to leave negative feedback for the seller, with no intention of completing the transaction
Best I can find but last bit isn't relevant if the person pays.

I guess it is hard to prove they bought with the intention of leaving bad FB, but eBay has been removing NEG left right and center, I would be certainly going for it ๐
