Have struck an extremely rude and arrogant buyer I just dont want to deal with. I would rather cancel the sale now than cop the inevitable Neg feedback for 2 items from this guy. According to this page http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/cancel-transaction-process.html#cancel I should be able to cancel....To cancel a transaction
Go to My eBay > Sold and locate the item.
In the More actions drop-down menu, select Cancel this order.
When I click on more actions I am not seeing Cancel this order as an option
Any ideas?

If you use eBay postage and use the B1 box then the total cost would be $8.90 all up.
If they haven't paid yet just re-send the invoice with the correct amount on it and explain that combined
postage does not mean that postage for one item is the same as for two.
Explain that postage cost for two items is $8.90 and it saves them $8

I had a number of dvds and cds for sale. The buyer asked postage cost for either 2 dvds or 1 dvd and 1 cd. I said, without checking cost, that I was "fairly certain" I could post 2 items for the cost of 1. Buyer chose to interpret "fairly certain" as defintely certain. When I was going through the invoices I checked weight and cost of the boxes I had bought, yes B1 & saw it was almost $9. Now I used to sell in volume a few years ago and sent dvds as large letters then, but noticed Auspost now say it needs to be flexible to post as a large letter, so am sending as parcels. When sending invoices out I didnt check buyer against who had asked questions, but as I had said "fairly certain", didnt think twice about it. If I had said definitely, then I would have honoured that. If the buyer had questioned it in a reasonable tone, I would have said fair enough. But this buyer went straight in with accusations of dishonesty which I admit did get my back up. However to avoid world war III I agreed to update the postage cost in invoice, which I was having difficulty finding how to do after already having sent the invoice. When the buyer came out with further insults, I said enough. I will cancel the auctions. The buyer promptly then left 2 negs

I can see the buyers point, though. Maybe you shouldn't have answered until you were definitely certain, as I would take fairly certain as a yes. Or invoiced postage at $8.45 which you virtually promised to the buyer, and worn the 55c as a cost of not actually checking things.
Although it's only 55c I would get my back up, too.

Yeah I agree I should have checked before saying fairly certain I could post for cost of 1 item & I should have checked who had asked the question before sending the invoice out.
And in hindsight maybe I should have just swallowed my pride and ignored the buyers tone and just said sorry my mistake

you would be better off doing the UnPaid Item case against them after four days if they have not paid. This way, if they do not pay you can ask eBay to have the negs removed.
Next time, when something like this happens you would be better off not replying to the negs straight away.

If you used an ebay 500g satchel with internal packaging to protect the discs you could post them for $7.45 including the price of the satchel. Even if you can't be inventive enough to create your own protective packaging you can buy boxes much cheaper than you pay for AP's.
I would most certainly have either checked for sure if they would post for the same amount before replying to the buyer or would have just eaten the extra 55c.
Yes you can cancel the transaction but unless the buyer agrees you will get a defect and I doubt if the negs would be removed.
I would apologise to the buyer for making an error on the invoice, resend it with the cost for one disc and then contact ebay and ask if the negs can be removed as the buyer has not even received the goods yet.

yeah unpaid item process would be my best bet.

I sell DVD's by using the large letter service, post in padded bags, make certain it stays under the 20 mm limit and
the PO knows what I post,(the items needing to be "flexible" doesn't seem to be enforced as it would have a
detrimental effect on their letter rate postage).
I use a blurb in my listings that states that I'm happy to combine postage where possible,(but I know what each
combined postage cost is).
They get 2 DVD's for under $10 and then quible about 45 cents in postage,(intead of the $8 they save by
buying two)
Good luck with getting it sorted.

$7:45 comes to about $8.60 with ebay/paypal fees that does not allow for any packaging or a handling fee $10 to post 2 cd/dvds would not be excessive the $9.00 the OP charged is more than likely costing them money to post.
It is outragous a buyer can just leave Negs for a reason like this hopefully the OP gets them removed

that's what I thought when I saw that you replied to their negs . . . . . and now they have replied to your reply and have had the last say on your feedback . . . . . . and if the negs don't get removed by eBay then they will stand out so much more.
Lesson for anyone who reads this post . . . . . . NEVER reply to a neg until all avenues have been exhausted to get the neg removed, and that won't happen overnight so don't be in a hurry to reply to neg feedback.
