Re: Cant get Paid?

you could send that to eBay via help, and ask for early payment of funds

Re: Cant get Paid?

I've asked the buyer for feedback -  has agreed to do it.

I've entered the Star Trak correct tracking number to replace the consignment number that I had written in.

That completes the correct information eBay would require.  The Hold option Im not familiar with,  but eBay says it may be released on the 24 oct.  I'll wait and watch to see if anything happens.

Re: Cant get Paid?

It’s not relevant that years ago your bank account was registered on eBay.

Your bank account must be verified.

This is not the same thing.

You must verify the account via one of two methods:

  1. Your login credentials, OR
  2. micro deposit method.

There’s no other way.

You must also verify your ID via your driver licence or your passport.

What you did on eBay years ago is not relevant. New system, new rules. Australia has in the interim put new anti-money-laundering and anti-fraud requirements in place and eBay has had to beef up its seller verification and funds disbursement procedures.

Did you read the link that I posted to eBay’s Registering As A Seller Help page? Follow the instructions there to the letter. If you don’t want your money, don’t read it and don’t bother to verify your account and ID.

Re: Cant get Paid?

Thanks for the information.  Just did a few more checks.  Checked eBay ,  it looks fine, and the item I've been going on about has just had the funds cleared.

I recently sold a pullover on ebay,  the funds have been lodged into my account appearing as eBay Commerce credit.  I believe the ingredients are in there,  as they did a pay-out and have taken out fees when needed.

All looks in order.  Not sure whether it was the tracking number and or the feedback has been left that triggered the release of the funds.  I'm relieved.  Thank you all for your help.

Re: Cant get Paid?

You can get hold of ebay, you can chat to someone.

Go to the help page and keep clicking till you get the option to chat or get a call back.

It's possible, people I've spoken to are doing it successfully at the moment.

You need to get some things clear. Ask the ebay rep

1.  Are you properly signed up for managed payments?

It doesn't matter what details you put in years ago, you need to make sure you are properly signed up to the managed payment system now.

At the moment, I may have missed something but I can't make out if you are or not but suspect you're not.

Unless you are properly signed up, you won't get any money. It will sit in limbo.

I am not a seller but from what I can gather from what a friend who is a regular seller has told me, once you are signed up properly, you then have to nominate how often you want ebay to transfer money into your nominated bank account. It could be weekly, it could be daily or so I understand.

Once you are properly signed up to managed payments though, it doesn't mean your present funds will be transferred to you immediately. Even if you've been on ebay for donkey's years and sold a fair bit in the past, ebay is only interested in your recent activity. If you have only sold a couple of things recently, after a long absence from selling, you'll be classed as a new seller and funds will be on hold, usually for about 30 days.

It's a safety measure and non negotiable. Look at it from a buyer's (and ebay's) view. You're newly selling, what if you had had money transferred immediately then closed your account and took off without sending the goods? Ebay has a money back guarantee so the buyer might apply to them and ebay would have to refund out of its own funds.

The hold on funds is not forever, just till you establish a track record of reliability.

But first things first, get onto ebay & if you are not signed in to managed payments, do it asap and you will then be able to get your money.
