The little bit of faith I had in eBay has now plummeted to below zero. Think my little store will be closing, so thank you so much eBay.
Where are the statistics that you have gathered from buyers to bring about these changes, to improve their eBay experience?
Have you any statistics gathered from sellers who support the increases, so they can improve their eBay experience?
Please - no jargon like "functionality", "incentivise" - they are stupid words, especially incentivise which shows up as a spelling error, used by companies to hopefully bamboozle people!!!!!

Do the new Store fees that we have to have
Include
: Free Sales history for tax Purposes not just 120 Days.
: Free Access to Selling Manager Pro
: A reduced rate in sales percentage Fees
: A reduced rate in Pay-Pal Fees
I would not think so
What a fa's to bring in a new store system only to double the store fees in a matter of Month.
A a seller I use outside image hosting as i find the ebay system to be soooo Slow.
Is the new image hosting going to be able to offer better speeds for uploading multiple images as outside Free sites do?
At the end of the day I had to have a say Where else but ebay can you do what we do Thanks
PS You do need to rethink the fee structure again!

I'm not in the slightest bit concerned about the doubling of the monthly store fees with regards to my position as a seller. I had decided a few weeks ago anyway that I was going to close my store and head off to the Sunday markets anyway, as sales are so lousy here now anyway.
But what I AM concerned about is from my perspective as a buyer. For the last ten years or so I have been a HUGE buyer on ebay. I loved all the quirky, unique, individual, unusual and interesting items that ebay sellers listed (a true online garage sale as I belive the original ebay vision was).
Over the past year or two my buying has dwindled and dwindled here on ebay. Why? I'm not interested in purchasing the same mass produced generic plastic crap I can get from any shopping mall anywhere (either online or B&M). My $$ are spent on unique items.
Ebay used to be the first place I'd head when I was in the mood for a new something special and I had money to burn in my pocket. Now the listings for unique items are so few and far between, taken over by large sellers peddling plastic chinese junk.
Ebay obviously wants to give Amazon a run for its money and become another generic vanilla mall, so off I tootle to spend my buyer $$ at places like Etsy, garage sales, markets, car boot sales, even real-life auctions.
So it's not just my store fees that ebay will be missing out on (not that they care), but also all the $$$ I have to spend as a buyer.
So it's all very well for the large volume sellers to rub their hands in glee, thinking "more sales for me as little sellers close", but that's not the case at all for me. I'm just packing up and taking my buyer wallet with me.

Please, someone let me know if I have this right. My store price is about to double. For this I get the following benefits... In order to keep my top rated status and get good visability in searches, I have to offer free postage. Lets be honest. No such thing! It is added to cost of items. Who benefits? Not the buyer. Not the seller. Who? EBAY! They get a little extra cut on the sale!!! Then I need to offer 30 day refund! I treat my customers like gold and have always refunded if there is a problem. Seriously though who on earth offers 30 day refund on antique and collectable porcelain!!?? As for pic size, my pics may not all be uniform but they are clear, pleasing to the eye and exactly what my buyes want to see! Have I missed anything?

Let's see -
One book dropshipper with 1,000,000 listings, monthly sales $250,000:
Store fee - $500
Listing fees - $0
FVF - $25,000
Total to eBay - $25,500
One thousand booksellers with 1,000 listings each and (conservatively) $250 sales a month.
Store fees - $24,950
Listing fees - $50,000
FVF - $25,000
Total to eBay - $100,000 near as dammit
And they want to increase that by $25,000?????
I'd be sacking the accountant who came up with the idea of favouring the big boys and alienating the rest.

My question for this pinks is .. if ebay say that buyers expect more professional standards from store sellers then why not differentiate between business sellers (ie with an ABN) and non-business sellers?
Buyers would then be able to match their expectations to reality.
Rather than using that excuse to raise fees, why not do something that actually would acheive the goal?
Rather than forcing unrealistic TRS requirements, that don't match Australian retail law, how about a logo that shows buyers who is a business and who is a hobbyist?
Or why not keep stores solely for business sellers and offer a new cheaper market stall type thing for hobbyists, with a lower monthly subscription fee and a limit of say 50 or 100 listings?

I have to get my Tshirts made up by a professional screenprinter, this can take up to 48hrs just for production, It is impossible for me to offer 24hr posting. I currently sell more Tshirts than those that produce them themselves in my category. So this change will now give my competition the edge in the searches as they can offer the 24hr posting. Yet current sales would indicate my product is more preferred. Were is your logic EBay.?????
