I never knew we had that option! but then, I've never asked for revision either.

so I can't confirm it for you

umm NFI what implications there may be although it does kind of make sense, I suspect that form was being unintentionally abused, ie people not really understanding what elements needed to be present for defamation claim to be made, whereas the eBay policy clearly says that you can say liar and cheat etc, (although they do discourage it, they state it is not grounds for removal) I'm thinking they probably got a fair few requests for removal cos of these sorts of things.

But I'm a somebody - I'm not just anybody!

Spoiler
sooooooo, was I helpful? I like to help

So defamation policy just disappeared ...

Are there any other changes that sellers should be aware of ???

They will probably tell the sellers about changes when they learn about them themsleves.

Please remember that eBay Supervisors were still advising us to contact Liveworld about tech issues last week.

aoart from that I learned today that postage prices go up Monday, I musta been under a rock or sumfin, cos I never knew about that, and I saw no threads of outrage about it.

Hmm, the help page is gone but the form is still accessable (I have it bookmarked, for easy forum linking).

I can't really comment on the implications, at least not until I know for sure if that option was a privilege or right, IYKWIM.

so Digi, is that a universal defamation form? Not just for feedback?

ie, would that be an appropriate resource to use for a claim of defamation about a post made on the discussion boards?

I don't see any reason why not - it says " I have a good faith belief that the materials specifically identified in the attachment(s) [__] to this notice are false and defamatory ", so it sounds like it's a general purpose form to me.

That's what I was thinking Digi, and I'm not sure if you saw it on here tonight, but I have a situation to address on Monday where that may well be more useful than just a phonecall to Lithium HO.

The only action it allows to be called for though is removal of the material, yes? not action against the offender?
