Hi all,
So I sell motorcycle parts that are bike specific. I use listings with multiple items for sale as having "25 of 30" sold is a good sales tool and helps increase buyer confidence in the product.
The problem I have is roll on 2014 and a lot of products have remained suitable for 2014 model motorcycles. I want to change my listing titles to reflect this but eBay won't let me. If I create new listings I lose all the hard work of previous sales and therefore a strong selling point, effectively reducing my sales.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get these titles changed? All they really need is a "2014" added to the end of them. Can I appeal it with eBay or can I ask them to do it for me so they can verify my reason for wanting to change the listing title?
Thank you for any help!
Regards,
Mark de Jong.

Hi
If you list something, then sell even just one item from that listing, then you cannot change the title in the listing. You will have to do a brand new listing, you will lose the whole sales history, but that is the only way you can do it.
Perhaps make a new listing identical to the old one ("sell a similar item") but make the title a bit more generic so you can keep it going for years. Keep the old listing going as well and when the sale start to die off on the old listing, then end it.
Good Luck

eBay do often pull keywords from descriptions to show relevant results in Best Match and the "More items related to..." results, so if you're not willing to end and relist, putting all compatible years into your description will mean you may still show up in results for 2014 parts.
