In December 2009, eBay conducted a survey among the top 3,000 sellers on eBay.com.au.
The results of the survey have been compiled into a new publication, the
Online Business Index launched today.
Two key findings from the Online Business Index include:
• 67% of those surveyed were optimistic about their 12 month business outlook with 38% expecting to increase staffing levels during the period
• sellers use an average of 2.5 sales channels (such as eBay, traditional bricks and mortar, their own website etc) with eBay accounting for 63% of all sales on average
The Online Business Index also asked respondents how the government can further assist with the development of the burgeoning sector. The results and report including case studies are well worth
checking out.
