Click and Send

Hey guys, iv just got a question about click and send. The main reason i started using click and send is because it was initially cheaper than regular parcel post, plus with the benefit of lodging it online and with a tracking number, plus being able to drop them in a post post it made it a hell of a lot easier and affordable.

Now that it's up to 7.15 and regular post is 6.95 and both have tracking - what an absolute joke.

Now having a look in Click and Send, if you select to use your own packaging then it gives you the option of Parcel Post for $6.95, can't i just use this instead and it's still trackable and able to be dropped in a post box?

Just wondering if anyone has noticed this and if there is any downside to doing it this way? As far as i can tell it would make no difference. The labels you print when using the ebay satchel code still say parcel post, so it is essentially exactly the the same thing, i could still probably use the rest of my ebay satchels this way even.

Re: Click and Send

It does Digital, thank you.

I'm going to try it on the next parcel. I've been taking them to the PO even though I wasn't getting PP protection. I'll report back if it works.

Doesn’t expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected?

Re: Click and Send

Maybe you have no idea what you're talking about and Maybe AustPost is just an inefficient dinasour only surviving due to its life in a monopoly.

it makes NO SENCE to DIY details, weights, packaging, label only to wait in line for 30 mins at the counter!!!!

those labels you print should be a replacement for the pre-paid satuals. under what logic would anyone click and send when you can just scrible the address on any packaging and go to the counter anyways.

as for price. if your pitem is 500g but dosnt fit in the 500g satual its some $14.50 for a larger 3kg bag. OR you can go to the counter and pay $9.50. click and send is supposed to eliminate that process...

so its some 50% difference in price for shipping the same item.

You are not addressing the issues I addressed. Plus you have dragged up a 7 month old post to have a go at me.

AP certainly don't have a monopoly on parcels, only letters. So it would seem I know a little bit.

And a 3kg CLICK & SEND satchel (what this thread is about) is a maximum of $12.05.
