Hi. Can anyone help me. I am having issues with some people buying more than one item (with buy it now listings) and then telling me they were unable to request a payment total for the items in their cart and paying postage on both items. One of them saying it is sending them strait to paypal instead and they cannot request an amended invoice for combined postage discount. I don't seem to be having the same problem with auctions just buy it now listings.

Are you sure you have not inadvertently ticked Immediate Payment Required for your items?
If that is ticked then you cannot combine postage and each item is paid separately.

I did read on these posts that this is a constant problem with buyers who are on phones or tablets.
If your buyer can get to a real computer the cart works.

It sounds like your buyer is probably using a mobile app, which doesn't facilitate multiple items from being combined on a single payment, even after an invoice has been issued.
There's a couple of workarounds, depending on what's available to the buyer - I believe (though haven't tried it myself) that if they go to their email and click 'Pay Now' on the emailed invoice, it will bypass the app checkout and keep all items combined (they can also just switch to a browser instead of the app, and click to the classic site version of eBay, in order to check out - jumping on a PC will also work).

Thanks for the responses. Much appreciated. I wondered what was going on it has happened with a few buyers now and I end up having to refund them the additional postage value which of course will end up costing me in the end as I will be charged fees based on the postage total of both the items.
