Good morning!
I am confused about the defects ....my seller dashboard tells me 1.36%
If I click onto my ID, it says 1.27%
There is a 2 day difference between the two , but I have no idea what has happened. Nothing but positive feedbacks and no shoddy buyers, apart from one who didn't pay and didn't contact me, despite all my efforts. Surely I can't get a defect because of that.
Also, what % do I need before I bomb out???I'm finding ebay not really clear about this.
Many thanks for any help.

Go to your seller dashboard, I find it easier to click on my feedback number then on the RHS of page click on view seller dashboard.
It will come up as below. Click on the little arrow as in the picture below. it will expand the page.
Now scroll down a bit untill you find the link in the next picture
click on the link, you may need to sign in again. You will see what the defects were for and who left them.
On the page above it will also tell you that you are being accessed 3 months or 12 months it also tells you what percentage you need to stay under before the defects kill you.

A 3 out of 5 stars in your DSRs or neutral feedback can now result in a defect - you can create a report from your sellers dashboard page to see if you can work out where it's come from but the results can just make your head explode - I recently discovered that I copped a 3 out of 5 for delivery time when all my parcels are posted on the day of payment, with tracking and signature on delivery. The buyer even gets an email confirming postage, so whether they were criticising me, Australia Post or the size of our wide brown land eludes me!
I used to phone eBay to fight over them, but have become tired of the differing advice/interpretations from eBay staff, that I've given up - one guy told me that even though he could see that I was "probably" not at fault, that I should consider myself lucky that I only copped one defect because if the buyer had proceeded with the claim I could have received up to 4! Up until then I was under the impression that you could only cop 1 defect per transaction, but what do i know?

I think you will find that the number of sales will also affect your percentage. The less you sell the higher the percent.

Pretty poor form from the rep there, but just to clarify, one transaction = one item now, so if a buyer purchases 5 items, makes one payment etc, that's 5 items that can each receive their own (countable) defects, one item can receive multiple defects, but on one item, only one defect will count towards a seller's standing. (eg say 2 out 5 items received every defect possible, there would be multiple showing, but 'only' two counted in the percentage).
