Delivery time estimates need to be fixed by eBay

Today I sold and item that has a 1 day handling, and I noticed  that eBay stated  delivery would be "On or before Thursday 24th March.

I check the Australian Post site- from my postcode to buyer’s postcode and it stated: Delivery time estimate 2-6 business days

How can eBay state "On or before Thursday 24th March", there is no way the item will arrive by that date with a one-day handling, so of course the buyer will mark the shipment is late. which will affect seller on the sellers dashboard

With my handling and Australian post estimate it should read 30/3 - there is a big difference.

I have contacted eBay and taken screenshot of the eBay page and Australian post

This error need to be address

It is the estimate to YOUR postcode as you are the one looking. 'View order details'.

Re: Delivery time estimates need to be fixed by eBay

Reality is that this problem ain't gonna be fixed any time soon.
So we moved our handling time out to 3 days. Problem solved. We are finding that all our large letter items are arriving before the late date estimate. Even some are arriving before the early estimate.
We can tell this by feedback left and the fact that we are not getting any NO answers.
Also we have noticed a marked increase in the number of comments given about fast shipping.
So would recommend you increase your handling time to combat this problem.

Re: Delivery time estimates need to be fixed by eBay

I increased my handling time to 5 days and have had absolutely NO problems with late deliveries. Sales have not decreased either. I still post within 24 hours and ALL my parcels have arrived before the first estimate date. Problem solved. Others here have forgone their pretty premium badge and blown their handling time to 3 days for the same reasons. I believe they are also having no problems with late deliveries.

Re: Delivery time estimates need to be fixed by eBay

eBay's delivery estimate is based on the 2 days, because intrastate is generally 2 days. Australia Post's 2-6 days applies to all regular letters, and that will come up no matter what postcodes you enter- I just tested it with Perth to Canberra, and Aus Post still say 2-6 days, but eBay will use the 6 days (generally) for that.

That being said, eBay's ETAs are still out of whack, and do need revising.

No it not, it's on the order details and if I view  the listing and enter the buyers postcode :

It states  delivery on or before Thursday 24th

As suggested, best option is to increase your handling time.

We use courier servives mainly and also have increased our handliling times out to 5 days on most of our items, does not seem to effect sales, but makes sure our deliveries are well in within Ebay unrealistic estimatics

Re: Delivery time estimates need to be fixed by eBay

Two days delivery time is for parcel post (as per the AP website).  It looks like you have listed the item with - Standard Postage (Australia Post Parcel) as the postage service and not just as basic Standard Postage which is what is generally used for letters.

I'M not sure, it states on the listing:

FREE Standard Postage

and on postage details: Standard Postage (Standard delivery)

it does not state: Standard Postage (Australia Post Parcel) anywhere
