The Ebay detailed seller ratings are an absolute joke.
On this selling ID, I have despatched EVERY single sale out within 1 business day, have advised customer each time of despatch and charge the exact postage cost plus a $2.00 handling fee.
Yet still I have received low DSRs for all 4 categories.
This just proves that despite doing everything correctly, sellers still get penalised by this stupid system

your low DSRs probably come from the 3 buyers who left you neutral fbacks due to being dissatisfied with your items/times. Once they score you low on 1 section they then tend to just put low stars all the way. Your description stars are not much ahead of your other sections.
check your Seller Dashboard, so long as you dont have too many 1 stars a large number of 3s or 4s dont really hurt your ratings too much.

Hi Andrew,
Do you get somebody else to dispatch your orders? I'm thinking that maybe they don't send things out as fast as you ask them to. You might need to have a word with them?
slow postage & slow on communication
There's another couple there about the box being damaged. Maybe you need to pack the items a bit more carefully to counteract how Australia Post handles packages sometimes. Unfortunately, Australia Post aren't known to use the greatest care with our packages. They reckon that you should pack things so that they can withstand a 20 kilo box being dropped on them. (either that or describe every fault in detail in your listing - this might be just me, but if I'm buying something new, I kinda expect that it would be in a suitable condition to give as a gift unless otherwise stated, so if a box is damaged etc, it kinda loses it's appeal.
I thought that the comment about the parcel being hand delivered was a bit rough. The item was still delivered. So what if they got their own personal courier, eh?
Yeah, the postage prices are a bit hard, eh? I don't think that a lot of people realize how much Australia Post does charge or how they work out their charges. Even when charging exactly what Aus Post charges, the stars still get dinged.
I know it's didappointing, and I think the wording of the stars is a bit misleading for buyers too.
Just keep doing what you're doing I guess, and everything should even out in the wash.

Hello,
Just checked your listing for smallest jigsaw puzzle.
You might like to remove some of your conditions as at the moment it is very negative. I suggest the following:
Offer Free Postage - Just add the cost into your item. Then your customers cannot vote on Postage
Include Registered Post as a Postage Option - They can select it if they require it.
Do not mentioned handling charges - Just add the cost into your item
Write a Blurb on the puzzle as if you are trying to convince your grandmother to buy it - concentrate on the positive - no negative words.
Lastly;
Remember the buyer wants a positive perception and wants to decide to buy, buy and then enjoy
Best wishes
Robert

Include Registered Post as a Postage Option
How do you propose they do that as registered parcel post has not been available for months now and unless it has been tweeked lately there is no option for registered letter in the ebay postal services available?

Hello all
Must be showing my age (66).
Registered Post has been replaced by Extra Covers for Domestic Parcels which gives you delivery confirmation ($2.95).as well as insurance at $1,50 per $100.

I"ve being getting low ratings for 'postage time' even though every item I post is the next day without fail or even the same day, seems buyers assume postage time means 'how long it takes to get to them' not how quick I post it.
I offer express but find that 90% pay for regular. I suppose the only way I can get better ratings for 'postage time' is to use express only, hopefully click and send will get there act into gear and have that option soon.

With your analogy of somebody selling a mustanfg and a walking frame I would be considerably less suspicious of a zero bidder bidding on all items, if you are making a journey to pick things up and are a seller yourself on another id then it makes sense to buy more than one item if you can, same applies for combined item discounts.

You can still register large letters (A4 size less than 2cm in thickness). Ebay does not allow this for this option anymore
