The prats that designed the listing pages have decided I can't actually enter my location anymore and instead can only use my postcode which then incorrectly displays my location as The Hunter.
As I am selling a pick up only item this will severely restrict the number of locals looking at my item.
ebay have the INCORRECT location, what a bunch of prats.
I can be reported and sanctioned for putting in a false location but these ebay fools can do it to me and I can't do a thing about it.
My item is located on the Central Coast NOT The Hunter.
I wish I could say what I really think of these <bleeps>.

My! My!
What a wonderfull turn of phrase you have!
Leaving aside the location problem(no doubt some one will be able to help with advice on this) your listing reads in much the same way as your post-beligerent!
I would have thought that the offer of courier delivery would INCREASE rather than RESTRICT your chances of selling the item.
In our business on the land we feel that the difficult we can accomplish immediately & the impossible takes a bit longer!
IMO !!!

I could be wrong but I think you will find all pick up listings show as Free Postage in the initial search & pick up in the listing!
Some savy sellers put pick up in the heading!

According to eBay, it's an improvement on the old system for item location. ๐
http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Hub/May_2012_seller_changes/Boost_your_sales/Item_location
Quote from the FAQs
2. What happens if the postcode I enter covers more than one suburb/area?
Each postcode has a default suburb that will display. This default suburb may not reflect your actual suburb but provides buyers with a good guide to your item location.
To stop Free Postage showing in search results, revise the listing and in the postage section, click add or remove options, make sure the box for Local Pick-up is ticked and save. Then select No Postage, local pick-up only in the dropdown menu - you can also select pay on pick-up in the payment section if you'll accept cash on pick-up.
If you have the Business Policies version, you should be able to create a new policy for pick-up only, via a similar process to the above after clicking to create a new policy.

You could always put the location in the title.

Beligerent? Yes probably but at least it is easy to read because I leave spaces between words and punctuation, something you might like to try to accomplish (immediately) IMO !!! *insert big friendly smilie*
I am used to selling in that category and I am well aware of all the questions I will be asked about the item and there is no way i will send a spinning wheel by any means unless I am prepared to take it apart first. They are easily damaged and as the item is in top class condition for a secondhand wheel I intend to keep it that way.
I will not be taking apart this wheel so it will remain pick up only.
Your opinion has been noted but I will not be acting on it on this occasion.

I had one character remaining so what should I leave out to put in the correct location, oh hang on, ebay could let me put the correct location in the litlle spot that says Location.
Anyway dave there really is no way to shorten the title of that listing, I tried to make it shorter when creating the listing because my preference is for something much shorter.
As for postcodes resulting in a suburb nearby I can understand but there is no suburb but instead there is a region and it is not the correct region.

Effendi a thousand pardons for my appalling spelling and lack
of punctuation not to mention no spaces my syntax is
no good either so no soup for me
Thank you also for pointing out to me how easily these spinning wheels are damaged. I'll be sure to pass that on to the ladies who bring their spinning wheels hundreds of kilometres three times per year to craft camps & exhibitions at the centre I volunteer at one weekend per month.

But Tuck, do the ladies transport them made up or do they dismantle them? As Bump pointed out, they are more likely to be damaged if they are dismantled and transported by a courier.
I am sure if your ladies are transporting their own property they would be taking more care than a courier would as they know what they are moving.
Take it from me, Bump does know what she is talking about when it comes to spinning wheels....and I know what I am talking about when it comes to couriers and how much care they can take of individual parcels. (24 years in the game)
