just wondering, given how slow sales have been this week, whether eBay might make another of their 100 free listings offer to coincide with Australia Day this weekend ...

Most of my sales and auctions have finished now so until ebay make an offer I will not be listing as it just does not add upto pay $1.50 plus costs to sell a five dollar item.
Will be interesting to live life without Ebay if the offer does not appear.
no rude questions ,no negative fears, no watching tracking numbers to make sure Aus post do not lose me DSR;s.
And every day without a new negative I get one day closer to a 100% rating again.

Nothing slow happening here, been selling nearly all my auction items at better than usual prices and have had a very good week in store too.
If I want to list more than 40 auction iteme in one month I just use another id, I certainly wouldn't need more than 80 lol, have a hard job listing the 40, I think this is the first month I will have managed it.

We used the 5000 free that ended last night to flood list auctions.
I would think about 1 in 50 ended up in a sale.
Of those about 50% ended up with actual payments. The rest will be UICs.
So it just shows us why we never list auctions unless they are free. We simply cannot recover the lost insertion fees when selling $10 items.
One thing it has done tho (as we had hoped) it boosted our BIN store sales. I guess some people jump to the store from the auction listing. But still not enuff to put up auction listings.
So we have almost recovered our Xmas sales slump now.

totally agree, had so many end recently with no buyers, however if my 140 that were for sale had all sold, I couldn't have kept up with prompt post anyway. and an earlier comment about no neg fears, tracking issues, rude q's is true too!
having said that looking fwd to an aust day promo ----please!

There is an Australia Day promo. Might be storeholders only though.
15% off FVF for all listings started at over $100. I used to have 2 items in that range, now I only have 1, so I don't think I'll bother.

haven't seen it, so you may be right re storeowners... when did you get notification. ditto I rarely list items over $100...
