Does ending a listing in 10 days versus 30 days make a difference to sales?

Just wondering if one works better than the other. For example with 30 days could the customer just "sit on it" and not buy thinking they have extra time, whereas with 10 days the customer moves quicker? Do fixed price listings ending soonest show faster in searches? I've just recently opened a store and trying to figure things out.

Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

I would personally list fixed price items for the longest period of time available in order to get the maximum possible exposure. The only time such items would appear near the top of a search is if the "ending soonest" parameter was being used, although it is my experience that buyers who don't use the default "best match" generally prefer to use "price + postage: lowest first".

as you ''pay'' for each individual listing, no matter what duration, economially it is better to list 30 day fixed price if you have a store.

Also gives longer exposure, if someone wants to buy they will, no matter how long its listed

if you use 'Good till Cancelled' it lists automatically each 30 days, and stays on your sales history which is beneficial if you have multiple items to sell as the more you sell the higher you go in searches

A Basic Store subscription now includes up to 200 free BIN listings per month.

If you don't sell in multiples and you don't have 200 items to list then you can benefit from 10 day listings over 30 day listings. For buyers with Saved Searches you'll get 3 times the exposure in their Feeds and Emails if you choose Sell Similar each time you relist. 10 day listings will also appear more often at the top of searches for buyers searching using Newly Listed and Ending Soonest.

Search spam Smiley Tongue - sometimes daily relistings from bigger sellers with anchor stores. Exactly why I no longer choose to receive emails for anything I want to keep an eye out for, nor look at the home page because all I ever see is the same stuff I saw 'yesterday'. A lot of people lose interest in the seller and item once they realise they're seeing the same items frequently. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It's like those emails eBay sends with the header 'what are you waiting for?', well...obviously not the stuff I looked at yesterday, so leave me alone. Smiley LOL
