EBay sales drop 2025

We have experienced a dramatic decline in sales since early January 2025, impressions 80k to 100k falling to 10k…. 400+ listing with daily sales of 4-6 falling to completely 8 coming in to may.

just want to know what is eBay doing? Why is this happing? Doesn’t eBay want us to succeed? 

I'm now having to look for another platform to move too. EBAY you’re killing our businesses.

Most of us have experienced drops in sales since Trump declared war on the world.

Add to that a Federal election, which usually makes buyers nervous.

Feel free to go elsewhere. eBay will not notice and other members (the ones who read and respond to board posts) will not care.

You have started to sell that other sellers (and many of them) have been selling on Ebay much longer than you.

You have sold 274 item since opening your account 16 months ago  which means approx 17 items per month. We are not halfway through May and you have already sold more than your average, Those 8 sales in May are 8 more than you had 16 months ago so how is Ebay killing your business exactly?

Ebay is a platform for you to advertise goods and for interested parties to make purchases IF THEY WISH. That's it!.  Ebay is not indebted to provide lucrative success, it merely provides opportunity.

Sales have significantly declined for my accounts too.  So hard to chat with ebay Agents nowadays. Ebay seeks feedback but never implements suggestions. For example, I have say 100 items listed, 25 have people watching the items but never get eBay's "send offer" for any of those items. Sure I could reduce price for all 25 listing's, but some I only want to do a short term "send offer". Ebay says it's "send offer" is a computer generated that randomly selects listed items. So why in one of my accounts has ebay given "send offer" for nearly 2cyears now for 2 items I'm selling and never any other items I'm selling.

Ebay needs to amends its computerised "send offer" system to all items that have 1 or more people watching them.  It would help me as a seller, help me sell items and help ebay get its fees. Ebay clearly doesn't get it or support sellers. Ebay cares more about buyer assurance and constantly changing its website that's confusing sellers

All you have to do is 'enable automated offers'. 

Offers are  generally sent  not only to watchers, but also to anyone who has 'looked' at your items.

The feature can be switched off at any time.
