Ebay and Item specifics

Ebay was asking me to update the specifics on my listings all the time.It seems they have stopped asking now..Now they are pushing for fast and free all the time....Also I noticed Pay Pal have increased their fees.Lost over $10 from a sale or two with Ebay and PP Fees.

Then had to pay for the free postage which I had counted.But the fees took a huge bulk of the sale...

The prompts to update item specifics or add fast and free are just eBay trying to get us to list the way they want us to, you can either ignore them, or click the link, select all and Remove Reccomendations.  This will make the messages go away until the next time the items relist.

Paypal increased their fees from 2.4% to 2.6% for general sellers last year. Or the one before. A long time ago, in any case, and not by much.

OK,I just thought $2.80 on a $50 sale was a lot.I didn't think they were a high as that before.Most sales were around $30.So maybe the Higher sale and fee caught me off guard.Thank you for the info anyway.

PayPal fees on a $50 sale should be 2.6% + $0.30 = $1.30 + $0.30 = $1.60

The ebay fees will depend on the category you sold in and if/not you hold a store.

But assuming 9.9% FVF then on $50 that should be $4.95.

So total fees on your $50 sale would then be $4.95 + $1.60 = $6.55.

This equates to about 13.1% total of the original $50 sale.
