Ebay cannot verify new bank account

I have a current Westpac bank account that my Ebay payments go into which is a personal account.  I recently opened a new business account with the same bank and upgraded my Ebay to business.  After around 8 phone calls to Ebay support and 4 I.T. tickets, I have still not been able to connect the new account up and no real answer given by Ebay as yet.  

Has anyone else had problems with connecting up a Westpac Business account?  It works seamlessly with other programs.

Wow, very interesting... the BSB lookup site does NOT have the BSB no. that is clearly on my account.  Square does connect up to this account for payments though and Ebay have my sale costs coming from this account  - not making a lot of sense.

I may speak to the Bank and ask them why it doesn't show up on the BSB lookup.

I know you mentioned you have spoken to the bank already,  but remember now a days most people in Branches, and even some call centres are just glorified sales people.  Sorry to the bank people who do actually understand more than sales,  but they are a dwindling number.

Ask to talk to someone who knows a little more

Just an aside Square doesnt have as high a requirement as Ebay in relation to their obligations, as square is virtually a straight thru function, whereas Ebay are held to higher standards.

They can withdraw, just not deposit it seems.

Update... BSB is valid, but new as of April 24 - Square have done a verification on it and everything is working.  The Bank suggest that Ebay needs its Bank to update their data to get new BSB's that Westpac have recently created, if that can't happen, then Westpac will look at giving me an older BSB number or trying to turn my personal account into a Business account.

Update... as the BSB was newly created by the Bank, they indicate that Ebay's Bank still haven't updated their BSB data to capture the newly issued BSB's.  I will wait a month and if it still has not been updated, I will change the BSB no. which is inconvenient as I have other programs tied to this BSB.

I had a similar issue when upgrading my eBay to a business account and trying to link it to my Westpac Business account. It took multiple calls and IT tickets, but eventually, it got sorted out. I recommend keeping in touch with eBay support and insisting on a resolution. It seems like a glitch on their end since Westpac works fine with other programs.
