I don't get why peole are complaining abut Ebay fees i know they are a pain and keep going up and all the new rules but it's way cheaper than running an actual shop you only handle the stock so there is no theft , no electricity or air con to run or employ staff ,eftpos fees ,rent each week . The way we sell it's convienient and most do it from home.

eg I sell something for $12, which is close to what the buyer would pay in a B&M, if they had a B&M with the item in reeasonable distance.
eBay fees $1.14 minimum; Paypal fees 59c, postage $7.30. Total fees not including cost of stock or store fees or overheads like fuel, electricity, printer ink... $$9.03. 75% of sale price. If B&Ms operate on worse margins than that, no wonder they're closing down.
Apples with apples usually helps.

It stands for Bricks & Mortar - i.e. a physical shop.

I have to say Highest Bidder, that reading your original post again without your signature, changes the whole discussion.
Probably not a good idea that signature, when dealing with sensitive subjects 🙂 I think you had some taken aback and on the defence.

The sig was changed part-way through this discussion - it was formerly "wherever you go ...there you are".
Not sure what inspired the change, though....
