Ebay Australia's switch over to managed payments (for my business) is a major impediment not a benefit.
I am a seller who uses my paypal funds received from sales (on a near daily basis) to send payments across the globe primarily for business.
Under the new Ebay managed payments, I will now have to wait up to 2+ business days to now have my sales funds deposited into my bank account from Ebay (maybe another business day before the inefficient banks here process the payment) & then will have to process another transfer back to Paypal (Another 5+ business days) - I now have no other option around this after numerous chats/calls to Ebay customer service/accounts trying to opt out of managed payments or seek an alternative. The current system works well for me, even if I have to pay a higher cost.
As a seller, I personally couldn't care less about Paypal's spin off from Ebay & the 'business rift' that has developed between the two but there has to been an alternative (Hyperwallet etc) or some businesses will suffer from this narrow minded approach & could potentially leave the platform - is this in Ebay's interest?

I agree, I don't understand why people defend Ebay.

this move away from paypal is a way to build a new finance platform which forces virtually every ebay seller to join.
there you have an instant client base
and an instant business with huge turnover.
I reckon that in a couple of years the eBay management payment system will be sold to a 3rd party for several billion $$$.

Sorry to drag this back to the forefront, but I have been reading a lot of the MP related threads, and of the heaps of sellers going to leave and try another platform.
Having read them all recently (yesterday) and then checking various sellers who were adamnant that was it, 95% of them are still selling.
The reason I bring this up is to suggest everyone NEW to it, give it time to settle down, a kneejerk reaction to something new is normal, but obviously the early teething problems passed and these same sellers are now putting along as before.
Not to take anything away from the frustratioon and stress of the time, hang in there and see how things go

Your decision, I will check in a couple months LOL
As to not giving Adyen banking details, not much difference to giving them to Paypal when you first joined, but each to his/her own

Well I have now had my selling restricted because I do not want to sign up to manage payments because I use the funds in my paypal account as well to purchase off eBay and when I contacted eBay I was told it was a offer to join I was not told that I would be forced to join the control that organisations have needs to be looked at and I would never post an item until payment has been received by me disappointing I have been selling since 2003

I selected daily payments and it's been 3 weeks and my money is still processing..have not seen any go into my account as yet. All they can tell me is that it will take time.
