Ebay Australia's switch over to managed payments (for my business) is a major impediment not a benefit.
I am a seller who uses my paypal funds received from sales (on a near daily basis) to send payments across the globe primarily for business.
Under the new Ebay managed payments, I will now have to wait up to 2+ business days to now have my sales funds deposited into my bank account from Ebay (maybe another business day before the inefficient banks here process the payment) & then will have to process another transfer back to Paypal (Another 5+ business days) - I now have no other option around this after numerous chats/calls to Ebay customer service/accounts trying to opt out of managed payments or seek an alternative. The current system works well for me, even if I have to pay a higher cost.
As a seller, I personally couldn't care less about Paypal's spin off from Ebay & the 'business rift' that has developed between the two but there has to been an alternative (Hyperwallet etc) or some businesses will suffer from this narrow minded approach & could potentially leave the platform - is this in Ebay's interest?

I would self report this post - not really something I would be putting on a public forum.
It really isn't that bad I am sure, so please just step away from the situation, and calmly thinkk things through.
Tthings tend to work themselves out once you find a new perspective.

Wow, the post I was referencing is gone already, I feel for the OP but kneejerk reactions like that are a little over the top - not to mention very concerning.

I have been a seller on Ebay since 2000 and always used Paypal for buying and selling.
Since the change over I have not been able to acces my funds from the sellers and yet it says they have paid. I have contacted the help line and they are looking into it (not holding my breath) .This is a major bug bear for my as I have 10 lote to post off and can't acces my funds. This morning I bought some items from Uk and paid via PayPal.
Why is it Australia that has these restriction?
I have had to email my cuctomes saying thta there will be a delay in posting off these items due to this (GLITCH).
I was very hesitant to become involved but had no choice and now am suffering because they haven't been able to get it right.

I to am in the same boat. Since having to opt into this system I haven't been able to acces any funds from my buyers and yet they have paid . This has become very frustrating as a seller. Have used the chat line to contact Ebay as the Customer Help line is off line because of COVID yesterday. They say they are looking into my problem which will take some time. I'm sure I am not the only one experiencing problems. You think a big company such as Ebay could get the sytem right from the get go. If the are having problems let pople revert back to the system that has worked for some time.

It's not a glitch and you still need to post the items and you have 2 choices to receive your funds and they are daily or weekly.
But even the daily funds can take upto 3 days to reach your account.
You should have extra funds to pay for things like postage or stock anyway if you sell, you shouldn't leave yourself short.

Since they changed overand 2nd March I have not recieve any funds and yet I know there is about $50 which has been paid. I have supplied all the necessary details re banking and yet nothing. Yesterday I contaced Bailey on chat line and he said don't make any disptached ontil the funds have been cleared and in my account.

Bank account, or eBay account?
eBay is effectively functioning like PayPal did, just with some key differences - the main one being you can't do anything with the money in your eBay account, and it automatically transfers daily or weekly.
If you go to the "Payments" tab, it should show you how much is cleared through to your eBay account, how much is still processing, and what the scheduled payout date is. They also send an email to confirm if a payout has been made, so the first thing to look at is the scheduled payout day, and the frequency of payouts.
You can also speak on the phone to someone from a dedicated managed payments team (click on "learn how you get paid" from the payments tab to get to the help page, then scroll down and click "have us call you").

Same boat...countless calls and chats, no money since 28th.. they're sitting in a bit now , no resolution. Getting worrying.
