Ebay refunded my buyer for non receival before the estimated arrival time

Ebay refunded my buyer for non receival before the estimated arrival time. The buyer opened a non-arrival case prematurely and I advised the buyer of the end of the estimated arrival time more than two weeks away - as stated by Ebay on my listing. Buyer was OK with this but suddenly Ebay just refunded the buyer from my funds so I lost the sale! Not only is this inappropriate but I believe it is fraudulent. Ebay has stolen my sale! They clearly didn't bother to check my messsage to the buyer or the delivery details in the listing. I am selling stuff not giving it away! Naturally I have appealed but has anyone else experienced this disgraceful conduct by Ebay?

Ebay refunded my buyer for non receival before the estimated arrival time

Ebay is refunding my money as they realise they made a mistake by not waiting till the end of the expected delivery date period. Maybe they will look a bit closer next time so this appalling thing doesn't happen again. They later sent another message saying the buyer had the received the item, which they couldn't possibly know. Buyer hasn't contacted me on that score. Whatever. I got my rightful money back. Thanks all for your input.

Your listing will show estimated delivery from the time you look at it, not when you sold it.

Sorry don't know what that means. Surely arrival time window is an auto shipping calculation by Ebay based on the date sent and the shipping method on the listing. I sent it on 12 Feb by large letter, Australia to NZ, the buyer lodged a case on 23 Feb, I advised the buyer to hang tight since the Ebay estimated delivery is 6-11 March which seems about right. Buyer was happy with this response. Then Ebay just goes and gives the buyer a refund and I lose my sale!! **bleep**!

Buyer will likely receive the item soon yet Ebay has already taken my sale funds. Fraud!

Given it was international - do you have a tracking number.

If my calculations are correct, it should have shown delivery between 21st February and 7th March

although without tracking, it's almost impossible for a seller to win a case.

Have you tried to appeal the decision ?

No it was a large letter ie economy untracked, which is a shipping option on Ebay. Ebay of course started rabbitting on about tracking which of course is irrelevant. Tracking is not mandatory according to Ebay themselves because untracked options are available. What is relevant is the estimated delivery time which ends 11 days after Ebay took my money to refund the buyer.
